About EXPO 2025 Admission Tickets, Reservation, and Lottery System

Reservation and Check-in

  1. What programs at the Sumitomo Pavilion require a reservation?
    Reservations are required for the following three programs:① Sumitomo Pavilion / ② Sumitomo Pavilion (Wheelchair Accessible) / ③ PLANT A TREE Event.
  2. How can I make a reservation?
    Please visit the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai Visitors Site for detailed reservation information.

Admission to ① Sumitomo Pavilion

  1. How long is the experience?
    Approximately 65 minutes from admission.The first time slot is 9:00–9:20 (check-in), with entry around 9:25. Please be sure to arrive by your designated time, as late arrivals will be considered cancellations.

  2. What if I arrive after my reserved time slot?
    Due to capacity limitations, late arrivals will be treated as cancellations. Thank you for your understanding.

  3. Can I enter without a reservation on the day of my visit?
    A limited number of walk-in slots are available. However, please be aware that availability may vary depending on crowd levels, and admissions may be paused temporarily.

  4. If members of my party receive different admission times, can we still enter together?

    Only those with reservations for the same time slot may enter together. Please contact the EXPO Association for inquiries regarding cancellations or changes to reservation times:

Admission to ② Sumitomo Pavilion (Wheelchair Accessible)

  1. How long is the experience?
    Approximately 65 minutes. The first time slot is 9:00–9:20 with entry at approximately 9:25. Please be punctual as late arrivals will be treated as cancellations.

  2. Can a companion enter with me?
    You may be accompanied by only one person, and no reservation is required for entry.

  3. What happens if I arrive after my reserved time slot?
    Late arrivals will be treated as cancellations due to limited capacity per session.

  4. I mistakenly reserved the wheelchair accessible program. Can I still enter?
    Guests who do not require wheelchair accessibility cannot enter with this reservation. Please be careful when booking.

Admission for Children (for ① and ②)

  1. Do children aged 3 or younger require a reservation or ticket?
    No reservation or ticket is required for children under 3. During the performance, children must be seated on a guardian’s lap.Please note that the experience includes loud sounds, sudden darkness, and immersive visuals.

About Check-in for ③ PLANT A TREE Event

  1. How long does the experience take?
    The Tree Planting Experience takes about 25 minutes.First check-in (gathering) time each day is 10:40–10:55, and the experience starts around 10:55.If you miss your reserved check-in time, your reservation may be canceled.

  2. If I reserve the Sumitomo Pavilion, do I automatically participate in the PLANT A TREE Event?
    No. A separate reservation is required for the PLANT A TREE Event.
  3. What happens if I miss my reserved check-in time?
    Due to limited capacity, late arrivals may result in cancellation.
  4. Can I join the PLANT A TREE Event without a reservation?
    Same-day tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after the Pavilion opens.There are four sessions daily. Participation ends once capacity is reached.

About Official Merchandise

  1. Can I buy official goods online?
    Official goods are only available at the Sumitomo Pavilion.Please visit the UNKNOWN FOREST SHOP during your visit.

  2. Can I visit the Sumitomo Pavilion's official merchandise shop without a reservation?
    Yes. The Sumitomo Pavilion’s official shop, UNKNOWN FOREST SHOP, is open to all visitors and can be accessed without a reservation.
