Symbol Mark and Three Motifs
Hello from the Sumitomo Pavilion!
Today, we’d like to introduce the three motifs that inspired our symbol mark.
Motif 1: "Forest"
At first sight, our symbol mark will probably make you think, “forest.”
The organic forms resemble the lushness of trees brimming with vitality.
Centered around the Besshi mountains in Shikoku, Japan, our group has developed various businesses, which we represent as a forest filled with the diversity of life.
Motif 2: "Seed"
The small circle represents a "seed," a symbol of potential.
It resembles the coming together of our group's companies at the pavilion.
We hope that the experiences at the Sumitomo Pavilion will sow seeds in the hearts of each visitor, sprouting new ideas and expanding possibilities.
The smoky shape coming from the seed can also look like a thought bubble, representing imagination.
Motif 3: "Exclamation Mark (!)"
We hope that our pavilion sparks surprise and excitement about nature, humanity, and society.
The exclamation mark expresses this desire of the Sumitomo Pavilion.
We hope that you will all make new discoveries as you explore through the unknown forest exhibition and touch new life during our reforestation experience.
This is what we hope for.
Our symbol mark is infused with many emotions.
We will also create space designs that utilize elements of the symbol mark, so please look for them as you explore inside the pavilion when you visit.
