Notice: Changes to Non-Reservation Entry to the Sumitomo Pavilion — Now via Digital Lottery Ticket (Using LINE App)

At the Sumitomo Pavilion, in addition to entry via "advance reservation" or "same-day registration" linked to your Expo ID, we also offer a limited number of on-site entries through a “No-Reservation Queue” on the day of your visit.

This “No-Reservation Queue” has provided an opportunity for many guests without prior reservations to experience the pavilion. Despite the need to wait in line for extended periods, a large number of visitors have taken advantage of this option each day.

However, the following issues have arisen:

  • A high concentration of visitors aiming for the No-Reservation Queue has occasionally forced us to temporarily suspend registration.
  • Guests have waited for long periods around the pavilion, hoping for the queue to reopen.
  • Immediately after the gates open, many guests rush toward the pavilion to secure a spot in the queue.

Due to these circumstances—particularly concerns about safety and congestion—we have decided to introduce a lottery-based digital ticketing system using the LINE app, to ensure a safer and more comfortable experience for all guests.
